Republicans Have 'Harsh Stance' On Immigration

Banana Charger ? October 2nd, 2011 - 11:54 am

Wascally Wepublicans, God forbid we should want people to come here LEGALLY, and not take advantage of our system. Typical lib BS.

Comrade Terry ? October 2nd, 2011 - 11:56 am

Harsh? How about just enforcing the immigration laws. That's not 'harsh'.

WorldclaZZ ? October 2nd, 2011 - 11:56 am

We like the Republicans "harsh stance" on ILLEGAL immigration.

garytheferry ? October 2nd, 2011 - 11:58 am

I feel harsh is good. The same treatment for other felons. Harsh.

PushHereToFlush ? October 2nd, 2011 - 11:58 am

Yep, demanding the law be followed, that's how harsh we are. I'm that harsh on lots of issues.

Corchem ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:02 pm

I wonder if those Republican bastards are against murder as well?

I know the Dems support theft via the IRS tax code?

S_Elliot_Rodax ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:02 pm

Gregory? another foolish lapdog of liberal media.

BillyDKidd ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:06 pm

Well, what did you expect?

vivlibomuori ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:08 pm

My mother came here LEGALLY. I don't see that as harsh at all. It's called obeying the LEGAL path to immigration.

gotwood4sale ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:08 pm

.

OMG! How do we sleep at night?

.

NewRiverPatriot ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:08 pm

It is far from harsh enough!

handleit ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:09 pm

Wierd ass democrats. Is there no limit to the freaks they can trot out ? This Gregory looks like a reject from a young Frankenstien movie. You should believe every word this creepy assed college grad has to say. He is a monument to the crumbling higher education fake establishment. He is a dying dinosauer. Bye Y"all !

Koropokkur ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:09 pm

Why is it that NBC always hires some effeminate capon of a male? Gregory, Scarborough, Matthews, Olbermann, Maddow? They hired Charlatan, I guess?

sforquer ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:12 pm

Laws are in place for a reason Mr Gregory, think about that. How about calling the Dems wussbags for not wanting to apply the laws on the books? Oh that's right, anything goes to keep your voting block in place, and your people in office.

Coyote12 ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:13 pm

Yeah it is called the law you moron. If you don't like how the laws works then change them. If not shot the F up and stop acting like obeying the law is some fringe idea.

yossarian22 ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:15 pm

Once again, Libs and Progs cannot get a very simple thing straight, the key word is "illegal". Illegal immigration is the problem, not immigration. This is such a simple concept that I am starting to think that they are doing this on purpose. Surely this cannot be the case, can it?

HeReturnsSoon ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:16 pm

David Gregory is a Marxist Socialist and he's too stupid to reallize it.
Keep grabbing those pay checks Dave.

A_pen ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:17 pm

Note to Gregory; Look up "sovereign state".

Simply put, Gregory is the goldfish thinking the jar about him is wrongly confining him. He refuses to jump out alone and instead seeks support from one more than half to break the glass. The founders knew "Gregories" well and required a 2/3 vote to destroy this republic and replace it with another. The trouble is they're smacking the bowl now and soon we'll all be flopping about on the floor. What's the point of having a law of 2/3 if one more than 1/3 refuse to enforce it ?

BBReggie ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:20 pm

We don't have a harsh stance on immigration. We are all for the legal immigration process. But illegal immigration is like an illegal withdrawal from a bank (robbery) ? we don't support that either.

Joseph_McCarthy ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:22 pm

A NATION WITHOUT BORDERS is like A HOUSE WITHOUT WALLS.

Are we being pushed by the likes of dopy brainwashed Gregory and his media accomplices rapidly toward the point of an identity crisis where America will be forced into becoming part of a GLOBAL SOCIALIST NEW WORLD ORDER run by remote distant bureaucrats whose strings are pulled by the likes of George Soros, Maurice Strong, and other enormously wealthy invisable elitists. Under this new arrangement, our deliberately enourmous and growing national debt is likely to result in our functioning as their slaves ? their surfs for centuries to come thanks to our irresponsibly greedy politicians. Finding and honestly reporting on the answer to this obvious question is the job of the likes of Gregory ? a job he has abdicated thus far in favor of being the propagandist for the DemRats,

myron_monk ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:23 pm

Gregory is a perfect example of the "chickification" of the news media. Why don't you grow a pair, Dave!?

joeyusa ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:25 pm

Gregory another Liberal A-hole who's mother should of took advantage of what they all believe in ABORTION- "Meet The Liberals"

handleit ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:26 pm

You KNOW why !

Flannigan ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:28 pm

When did favoring enforcement of existing law become HARSH?
If you want to get to the bottom of the issue, how about identifying the House & Senate members who voted for the bill, and the president who signed it into law?

Chuck47 ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:29 pm

NBC, expect bias.

Librtaren ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:31 pm

I wonder if Mr. Gregory thinks Roseanne Barr (who would behead rich U.S. citizens if they don?t give up their wealth) has a harsh stance.

handleit ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:38 pm

A people with no vision will perish. This sounds bad but people need a strong leader just like the animals. That is why we need to pray to God because we are so vulnerable. I am talking about old time God fearing principles. What will we have to give up for our next fake leader ?

amanuensis ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:45 pm

By "harsh" he must mean Constitutional. We know that the pansy left hates the US Constitution and the rule of law.
The only people the pansy left want executed are the 1,000,000 American citizens who live in the most dangerous palce in the world; their mother's wombs.
The pansy left kills 1,000,000 Americans each year and loves doing so, and they call conservatives "harsh?" How dare they? That sounds like Satan getting himself into another hissy fit.

Conservatives choose life, but not crime. Democrats chose death and crime. The choice is clear. Good versus Evil.

DrEdu ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:48 pm

OK?I am a Latino?
Have you ever heard the phrase people use "..as a woman?" , 'as a teacher ", ' as a whatever"?well here I go:

AS A LATINO, I think ALL our Laws should be respected and implemented. This includes our Immigration Laws.
They are nor 'harsh'. They are gentler than the immigration Law of Mexico.

So, when I hear politicos trying to win Latino votes by weakening Our Country I think: estos tipos son mata-mama!
Translation: I conclude that these politicos are willing to kill their own mother for political gain.

and if you do that to your Mom?how can anyone trust YOU?

fande3rls ? October 2nd, 2011 - 12:58 pm

Dr edu :Amen
As one whom use to live overseas , i complete respect the borders of other nations . many ,Extremeist Progressives (liberals ,communist , socialist ) completely disrespect borders , they want no borders , they want no national sovereignty , no personal property rights ect:

fande3rls ? October 2nd, 2011 - 1:00 pm

Dredu : here is my idea on this

how about . Close the border.2.give the ILLegals 6 months to go to their home country, 3.go to the American Embassy in that country . Go before a jag officer.prove you were in the country . you will be convicted of a class 1 felony , you will pay a 1500.00 fine . you will recieve an orange card with your picture and bio metrics on the card , you will give DNA sample .YOu will never be allowed to vote or give to any party or cannidate for office.you will be allowed back in the country to work and rent a house . and you will be given a drivers permit (orange card) you will pay taxes . Also you children will recieve a green card with orange strip .no voting rights ,
any business that hires an illegal the owner or CEO ,chairman of the board will be convicted sent to jail for 5 years with a 5 million dollar fine. for each illegal. loss of company and no voting rights ever again.

islegend ? October 2nd, 2011 - 1:02 pm

I was a legal landed immigrant ? now citizen. I have two degrees, and one of them was necessary for me to immigrate. I wanted to come to America while in my late teens. Married with the responsibilities that entails, it took until my mid 40's to be in position to apply. That took six months, including criminal background checks, health tests, and at the end a basic civics exam. After obtaining my Green Card it took another four years until I applied for citizenship. This all cost me a couple of thousand dollars out of pocket. (Not to mention the second degree).

An illegal with a grade five education, basic job skills, and no English speaking ability ? according to every study becomes a drain on the system. They use more social services, and healthcare. Illegals tend to concentrate in areas and drive out law abiding businesses. Cheap labor working "under the table" drives out legal US immigrants, and citizens from such jobs.

Cracking down on illegal immigration isn't harsh. Its protecting those who work within the law. Its protecting the very foundation of this country. Those who push back against this deserve to be removed from office.

StanDoffish ? October 2nd, 2011 - 1:02 pm

Well, a harsh stance is better than no stance at all. And Gregory.. stop confusing the issue it's "ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION" . Leaving that out makes you no better than CNN or any other lefty rag. Thankfully, the audience that has the stomach to watch your show know that.

Brem1 ? October 2nd, 2011 - 1:06 pm

From now on I think republicans should just say " I believe Latinos would want to be treated the same way as Mexico treats illegal immigrants ." What could be fairer than that because I never hear any complaints about Mexico jailing their illegal immigrants?

fedorer ? October 2nd, 2011 - 1:18 pm

Gregory's bleeding heart is so phony.

BalkanDeputy ? October 2nd, 2011 - 1:24 pm

Why do Wascally Wepublicans continue to go on shows that aren't watched?

Next stop the View.

LizardLips ? October 2nd, 2011 - 1:27 pm

The zero won Virginia because a majority of ill-educated nitwits fell for promises of freebies, goodies and the many lies that constituted his platform. It says not so much about him but volumes about the body politic. As for illegal aliens; they shouldn't be here.

Tyler520 ? October 2nd, 2011 - 2:01 pm

typical Leftist propagandist who refuses to differentiate between between legal and illegal acts.

Wonder why he isn't criticizing the Leftist population control/eugenics group that advertises after the debates?

dswilli ? October 2nd, 2011 - 2:05 pm

Yea buddy, adhering to the law the nerve of those conservatives.

martifr ? October 2nd, 2011 - 2:12 pm

Enforce the dang laws. That's all we expect.

NoMoTax ? October 2nd, 2011 - 2:30 pm

Good try amateur journalist, you're intellectually dishonest.
That's tough stand in ILLEGAL immigration.
Stop puking on yourself, the gig is up.

tahoebruce ? October 2nd, 2011 - 2:31 pm

Yeah sure, can you imagine that guy with a normal job, or faced with the gifts of real "diversity"? It's all absurd, these people are absurd. We have more legal immigration than the rest of the world combined, and then we are being dogpiled out of existence by illegal immigration to boot? And these people consider it harsh, extreme, and (most importantly) unthinkable that we stop it and send these illegals back.

badodor ? October 2nd, 2011 - 2:31 pm

Have you noticed they never hire competent blacks except Sharpton. Oh take out the word competent for everyone because they stand for something.

NikitaL ? October 2nd, 2011 - 2:34 pm

Equating border jumpers with legal immigrants is what the lying left does. They need to be called on it every single time they try.

As far as criminal aliens are concerned, Gregory thinks giving them a free meal and a free ride home is harsh?

Nowhere near harsh enough.

IsraelFirst ? October 2nd, 2011 - 2:37 pm

Not as harsh as we have over here. Jews only!

welovetheUSA ? October 2nd, 2011 - 2:44 pm

You can't even know what harsh is when we take over the White House??..cut their benefits and jobs will be the first thing we do, period.

publius74 ? October 2nd, 2011 - 2:47 pm

Yes we want to enforce the laws of the United States, how "extreme."

publius74 ? October 2nd, 2011 - 2:48 pm

It is a racist statement to imply that legal Hispanic voters do not want to enforce immigration laws.

grainbird ? October 2nd, 2011 - 2:53 pm

Federal law is a "harsh stance" on "immigration?" The sooner ideologue journalists like Gregory are recognized for the highly agendized liberals they are, as opposed to real journalists, who are supposed to be objective people who function as watchdogs for the protection of all legal US citizens, the better.

Yes, it's horrible for people in Mexico and many other Hispanic countries. But supporting open borders and the myriad evils of illegal immigration including hosptial lockdowns and shutdowns, new epidemics of formerly vanquished third world diseases, growth of MS13 and other cartel foot soldier gangs and other things which are destroying this country is not fair to American citizens. If people like Gregory are concerned about these people, God bless them. But enabling does not solve anything. Gregory and those like him should advocate for America and the UN demanding that Mexico and some Central and Latin American countries clean up their acts.

But of course that would screw up the New World Order, North American Treaty plans, and pit these sanctimonious cowards against some very scary people.

leslie_gaea ? October 2nd, 2011 - 3:21 pm

Realize that illegal immigration is a boon to the leftists and dems. Maybe these commentators genuinely believe that there is some injustice with illegal immigrants being "marginalized".

But the power brokers in the dem party care nothing about supposed injustice. The left wing elite only see illegal immigration as a way to add more future votes to push even more radical changes to our country. So, we are left with a warzone on our borders and inner cities thanks to politicians, who care more about votes and sick political agenda than the future and stability of our country.

The simple fact is the communists have left a paper trail of enormous proportion which everyone seems to ignore. William Z. Foster?s 1932 tome ?Toward Soviet America? lay?s it all out and looking back you can actually see the success they have had toward that goal in our education system. Page 316 of my copy, ?The students will be tought on the basis of Marxian dialectical materialsm, internationalism and the general ethics of the new Socialist society.?

?Studies will be CLEANSED of religous, patriotic and other features of bourgeois idelogy.? Ever wonder where we get high school students that declare themselves Citizens of the world? Oh yea, this will be acomplished by the National Department of Education! This was published in 1932 but if you mention it you are touted as a reactionary, McCarthyite, or a Red Baiter. As Glenn Beck has said,"McCarthy may have been the wrong messenger but the message had a very crdeible point but gets ignored." That is how we get a U.S. Navel vessel named for one of Alinsky?s most honored pupils, the USS Cesar Chavez, how long before we have the USS Che? THE truth will set you Free.

Htos1 ? October 2nd, 2011 - 3:44 pm

No.Just harsh on illegality.

Eileen for Freedom ? October 2nd, 2011 - 3:45 pm

Yes?David?and so should you?it is called holding ourselves up to the Constitution and the laws of the land!

America?David?if you don't know?is the most compassionate and gracious of people?who are always there when needed?.but we do not take lightly to those who break the laws of our land?and you should know better?but because you are a bootlicker of the false messiah?we understand why!

Another MSNBC toad!!

yeahyouright ? October 2nd, 2011 - 3:58 pm

obeying the law: "harsh" in the era of self-esteem.

Farmer_Ted ? October 2nd, 2011 - 4:09 pm

Would it be "harsh" to say Mr. Gregory framed the question "stupidly"?

Attila57 ? October 2nd, 2011 - 4:11 pm

What part of ILLEGAL does that libtard not understand?

ExNYer1995 ? October 2nd, 2011 - 4:17 pm

Want to know what would be harsh?

Here's our new policy: Turn in TEN other illegals, and we'll give you citizenship.

THAT would be harsh.

Enforcing the current law? Not harsh.

SoNotShocked ? October 2nd, 2011 - 4:49 pm

Why do this d-bags think it is harsh to have an immigration policy with limitations and consequences. Even Guinea-Bissau West Africa will throw your butt in jail or toss you across a border if you violate your visa by a day. Thank God for the enlightened left without them we would lose our way.

Flevans ? October 2nd, 2011 - 4:53 pm

It's called the law. If you don't like it, change it.
But, to not enforce should be punished with incarceration.
