Position Information:
The Career Services Counselor in collaboration with the Director of Career Development Center and Executive Director of Graduate Programs is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all graduate career services activities for the Anderson Graduate School of Management (AGSM). This responsibility includes working with MBA program staff, Graduate Degree Programs; and External Relations staff to develop job search and career building tools and strategies for students, as well as working with the business community to develop internship and employment opportunities for AGSM MBA students.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required with minimum 4 years consistent functional or industry experience, with increasing responsibility in a university level career services, student services or related corporate experience and education.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, with ability to speak before small and large groups.
• Must be proficient in a highly computerized environment (databases, electronic bulletin boards, e-mail, Microsoft Office and the internet). Knowledge of research and survey techniques, ability to compile statistical data and reports. Knowledge of career-related technologies and their application. Experience with leveraging social media and audio-visual technology.
• Well-developed student advising skills, knowledge of career development theory and effective job search techniques. Strong motivational and training skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to incorporate suggestions and be receptive to constructive feedback into program improvement and personal development. Must be a resourceful team player.
• Experience with and commitment to working with diverse students, staff & external organizations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain strong collegial relationships throughout the University. Ability to work collaboratively with program staff and all other constituencies.
• Experience in program planning, design, and management; demonstrated creativity and innovation in program and service development. Initiative and the ability to conceptualize, develop and implement new programming ideas
• Knowledge of graduate and professional school options, testing services, admissions requirements and practices, and career outcomes associated with advanced degrees. Knowledge of vocational test administration and interpretation.
