Catawba County Agriculture Business Tour | Life in Hickory

2nd Annual Agri-Business Tour Tuesday, June 12, 2012

Come spend a relaxing morning seeing?Catawba County?s 55 million dollar agriculture industry. The 2012 tour will visit agricultural operations in eastern Catawba County.

Start the day at Youssef 242 pastries and LilyBean?s Micro-Roasted Coffee ?242 Blend?, load?the bus and visit Promise View Acres, a modern grain farming operation, Diddly Dadburn Farm to see their landscape nursery of over 100 acres of production area.

Next visit Randy Sipe Angus, a family owned beef cattle operation with pedigrees that trace back to Scotland.

Finally visit Claremont Hardware and Farm Supply that includes a 500 acre farming operation, custom spraying and harvesting services.

Catawba County Farm Bureau is sponsoring the charter bus transportation.

The day ends with an invitation to lunch at Youssef 242 highlighting the local farms that were visited.

The menu is:
Randy Sipe Angus Farm Grilled Beef Tenderloin,
Coto Farm Greens, ?PVA Corn Bread Croutons,
Diddly Dadburn Soybeans,
Hoffman Heritage & Heirloom Beets & Radishes,
Houser Farm black berry cider vinaigrette.

Lunch is a pre-fixed menu including beverage, tax and gratuity for $20 per person.
