Campus Recreation Sports Report | The Oswegonian

BROOMBALL:

As the weather became warmer in the week leading up to spring break, so did the sticks of the Derpsicles, who captured the men?s championship on March 6 after defeating Gamma, 3-2.

Bobby Drexler, D.J. Mazzoni and Chris Timmons all scored to pace the Derpsicles offense.

The co-rec championship came down to the wire as Back Dat Pass Up beat the Oswego Hurricanes twice to take home the title. Again, Mazzoni was in the middle of the action, tallying the game-winner just 30 seconds into overtime of the second contest to give Back Dat Pass Up the 2-1 win.

Game 1 saw Back Dat Pass Up win 5-1. Mazzoni earned Campus Recreation Player of the Week for his efforts in both divisions.

?

INDOOR SOCCER:

Matthew Kelley scored five times as Zeta Beta Tau rolled to a 12-2 victory over Team Smash Mouth. Five was also the magic number for Julian Durante, who tallied five goals for Team Bomb Squad in an 8-3 win over Real Bro-Neida.

Sean Brooks contributed five goals in the most lopsided contest of the week; a 15-0 win for Rush Hour over the Lotus Flower Bombs.

?

After an undefeated week, Here for Beer fell, 3-0, against Rapid Viz while Volleyball Team secured two wins over SAE and Alpha Delta Delta.
